Product Testing
The testing was performed according to the procedure in Eurocode 3 on a full scale truss at the civil engineering testing hall of Tampere University of Technology.

The loading was applied at eighteen distinct points with c600 mm space between them so, that at mid-point there was no load and thus the space between the two middle load cylinders was 1 200 mm. This way, it was possible to get loading also onto the eaves parts of the top chords.

The load was pumped into a hydrostatic pressure cylinder using a handpump and subsequently evenly divided between all 18 load cylinders.

Each load cylinder had a 420 mm long loading pad which transmitted the load from the cylinder onto the structure

The profiles used were the 89 mm chord profile with 16 mm wide side stiffeners and the 29 mm web profile.

Rosette LGS Field Assembly

Rosette plant is capable of supplying all the components needed for a high quality structural frame.

Rosette structures are easy to install at the building site. Wall components have high value-add built into them.

Rosette has developed friendly installation components, various connection brackets and fixing bolts.
Frame components have Rosette connection holes. These holes are used to line walls & roof trusses into the total structural skeleton.

A Rosette symmetrical roof truss is always lined with a vertical support. A special roof truss + top plate connection bracket is used and connection is secured with a special Rosette tube-bolt.

Rosette connection holes serve as nuts. These tube-bolts are available in various lengths from Rosette. They are 3/4" (20 mm) OD and easy to handle when installing.

The bottom-chord of the mono-truss is connected to a girder truss using a designated bracket.

Rosette tube-bolts are used in securing the connection.

Same but longer Rosette tube-bolts are used in connecting two trusses together along the length of the trusses and forming a stronger girder truss.

The mono-truss upper chord connection is also made with a special bracket and Rosette tube-bolts.

The bracket system adjusts for different pitches.

Rosette roof trusses are temporarily supported & permanently braced when installed with special female-male 24", 36" or 46" long Rosette connection tubes. This precision installation method is very safe and fast.

Wall Panel Manufacturing System

Rosette Wall Panel Manufacturing System

Put the floppy disk into your computer and press enter. This will start your automatic Rosette LGS-component production. The computer has a Rosette-Argos CAD file and Makron scheduling program to control the daily production. No manual input is required.

The Rosette wall frame panel production line is fully integrated and will convert narrow strip material to custom-designed, high value-add frame panels at a rate of about 2,500 lineal feet per shift and needs only three operators.

Narrow strip is loaded on the decoiler and a double head unit may be used for fast gauge changes. Continuous strip material means no waste is generated.

Wall frame panel component members are produced on C-stud line and U-shape line in the right sequence and transferred to an assembly station on Just-In-Time basis. There is no need for inventories of any members or any subassemblies. Savings in real-estate will pay for the automation investment.

There are two work stations, one on C-stud line and another on U-shape line. CAD-controlled measuring and detail prefabrication takes place here. Notching, punching and cutting produces clean-cut details with consistent industrial quality.

Rosette connector was designed to make higher degree of automation possible for light gauge structure assembly. Connector detailing is prefabricated at the workstation. At each panel point there is a hole in first member and a collared hole in the other member.

Members of a component arrive at the assembly station and every member detail is precision located and fabricated. The design CAD secures the right sequence of members' delivery.

Assembly of precision members is a snap. Members are actually snap-on assembled with a prefabricated connector hole and a collared hole at each panel point.

Precision members produce precision components. Precision components make a precision skeleton for a building. Quality is compounded with no direct cost, only all-important quality benefits, and especially big savings at the site installation of components.

No subassemblies are needed. Everything is done at the primary assembly station: header structures in alternative designs, diagonal and lateral bracing, even cabinet fixing plates are integrated automatically. High value-add is built into Rosette components.

Only one single connector is required at any connecting panel point. One Rosette connector gives the strength of six to eight sheet metal screws. Rosette assembly operators only need to snap on this single connector. A simple assisting tool may be used.

After components have been snap-on assembled, the frame panel will be transferred to a Rosette press station. Here Rosette tools are CAD-positioned (one above and one below the connection point) and a strong, structural Rosette connector is formed.

At the Rosette press station the panel is moved forward and Rosette tools placed again by CAD-generated information. Rosette tools are made by Eckold of Switzerland, a well know precision tool manufacturer.

After the frame panel has been pressed, it is ready to be sheeted. The Rosette panel is very sturdy and diagonally a rigid structure. FUSA has Makron semi-automated sheeting stations available.

Roof Truss Manufacturing Technology

Rosette High Volume Roof Truss has an optimized, symmetrical structure. Fabrication starts from a strip of steel and all components are produced on Just-in-Time basis.

Rosette technology requires only one single connector (there are actually a pair of connectors, except at C-shape based roof truss) at any connecting panel point. One Rosette connector gives the strength of six to eight sheet metal screws. The competitive edge of Rosette lies in this simplicity.

Rosette has two alternative roof truss systems, for two different business concepts, and which roof trusses are produced on different designated lines:

--the wall panel line can produce C-shape based conventional roof trusses where single revolutionary Rosette connector is used in bigger size. This system adopts very well also to a kit delivery and site assembly.

--these C-shape truss members have rounded ends and the Rosette connectors are two (2) inches in diameter. These details generate a strong industrial-quality appeal.

High-Volume Production System for Symmetrical Rosette Roof Truss system where three operators are able to produce 100 average roof trusses per shift.

Symmetrical Rosette roof truss production starts with narrow strip coils. Two special shape forming lines, one producing top and bottom chords and the other web members, are used. Double head decoilers are available for fast change of coils. Continuous strip material means no waste is generated.

Roof truss members are produced on Just-In-Time basis and automatically transferred to assembly station. There is no need for inventories of any members. Savings in real estate will pay for the automation investment.

There are two work stations, one on chord line and another on web member line. CAD-controlled measuring and detail prefabrication takes place here. Mechanical notching, punching and cutting produces clean, industrial quality.

Roof truss members are snap-on assembled using an assisting tool. Rosette connector pressing takes place with a special, hydraulic tool. Precision members produce precision roof trusses and open-web joists. Quality is compounded with no direct additional cost, only all-important quality benefits are realized. The high quality of Rosette roof trusses will generate big savings in installation at the building site.

No jigs are needed because the accuracy of components secure consistently high assembled dimensional quality. Three operators produce on average 100 custom-designed roof trusses per shift.

Rosette line can be tooled for two different chord sizes, smaller for residential (especially for North American c/c 24" roofs) and bigger size chord for light commercial roof trusses. The same web member size fits both chords. Open joist Rosette floor joist can be produced as well.
